The above picture is from a wedding I shot this last Friday. I am still kind of working on it as I he feels kind of unfinished, though I am not sure why. Any ideas? (If there is enough demand I will post the original color photograph too).
I am generally not a big fan of black and white — I LOVE color! However, I think black and white does have a valid use if one wants to emphasize tone (light/dark) over color (hue). Though I think most of my clients like the old school black and white look simply because of tradition: for a large part of the history of photography the pictures were all black and white. Fair enough — anything to make my clients happy.
