A few months back, I was off to Indian Wells California to “shoot” tennis players — when I got a message from Amanda Appleyard, daughter of the owner of Nassau’s premier wedding-event decorator Wildflower Weddings.

Amanda was getting married.

I’ve known Amanda for a few years, both as a fellow worker in the wedding business and as a friend, and her fiance for a few days thanks to our first engagement shoot at Lyford Cay Club, where the two will be wed in November. It is one thing when a stranger likes your pcitures; it is another when someone in the business wants you to do their wedding. I am thrilled — because knowing Amanda’s mom it is going to be an amazing wedding — and honored. Anyways enjoy the pics.
