Here are some photographs from Dan and Jenny’s wedding ceremony at the Cloisters on Paradise Island across from the Ocean Club’s Versailles Gardens, which overlooks Nassau harbour.
The Cloisters was built sometime around the 13th century by Augustinian monks in South West of France. In the 1920s, newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst bought The Cloisters and had it disassembled and moved to the United States! However, the stones had not been labeled and arrived as a jumble of parts on Paradise Island. The stones laid in storage for years as there were no plans needed to reassemble it.
Thankfully for Dan and Jenny, the A&P heir who developed Paradise Island, Huntington Hartford, purchased the structure from Hearst’s estate and had it reassembled by artist and sculptor Jean Castre-Manneit on the island in 1962 over a process oftwo years.
Enjoy!

We then dashed off in a limousine to Atlantis for some Bride and Groom shots, which I’ll post tommorow.
