Explains Jason on how he met Laurie: “Laurie and I met in November 2008. My buddy, Jason Mendes, came up to Hoboken one sat. afternoon. His girlfriend, now wife, had just given birth to their daughter, about 4 months prior , and he was looking to get a little nuts. So we ended up going bar hoping, and one of the places we walked in had dollar beers…….and no people in it. So my buddy and are the only 2 people there.”

“That same day, Laurie was meeting up with people that she would rent a shore house with, to do some bar hoping of their own. So while my buddy and I are sitting there, in walks about 20 females. So being single, I looked at my buddy and told him we weren’t going anywhere.”

“Laurie ended up walking by us, and being Mr. Smooth Operator, I found out from the bartended what her and 2 of her friends around were drinking, then ordered them drinks.”

“Apparently, Laurie didn’t really want to socialize with members of the opposite sex that day. However, the bartender and one of her friends, convinced her to accept it. So she smiled……..but didn’t come down to talk. “

“Finally she walked by again, and I informed her that I didn’t bite. So we began talking, and her friends began leaving to go to another bar. Before she left, I asked for her number, we went out the following Thursday night (Thanksgiving), and the rest is history.”
