Father Cartwright was the minister for the ceremony — he used to do a Wednesday morning mass when I attended Freeport High School many years ago. Though he has a few more gray hairs he still has the same youthful wit and sparkling Bahamian personality.
This one of Brody above is one of my favorites.
Here’s the scoop on how Blair met Brody: “During high school I answered the phone at my father’s business. Brody also worked for my dad and we occasionally saw each other passing through the office. Although we said Hi, it never went further than that. After my summer job was over I moved to Kansas to attend college on a softball scholarship. Six months later I received an email from Brody asking how college was going. We continued to talk and see each other whenever possible since he was still in Oklahoma and I was in Kansas. After I graduated from junior college in Kansas I moved back to Oklahoma to finish my degree and be closer to Brody. On October 23, 2010, Brody and I went to Las Vegas to celebrate our 21st birthdays; that night Brody proposed! Things have a strange way of working out and I am so thankful I took that summer job!”
